The midrib of blade continues in the form of a pointed elevation up to the lowest rivet hole in the hilt. Edges of hilt are flanged and two flanges run (from top of hilt, nearly to its face) between the side flanges + the rivet holes. In addition, the two smaller flanges run between these two, for the distance between the uppermost rivet hole + the top of the hilt. They have the appearance of losing been made otate faintly.
