The primary cremation was found in a wooden box about 3 1/2 ft long & 2ft wide, which appears to have had bronze fittings (3) and was covered by clay. With the cremation were a bronze dagger (1), a bronze knife-dagger (2) two fragments of sheet bronze (3) and several bronze rivets (4). Also two fragments of a bone pommel (5) - originally described as tips to a bow (?d). [Reference (c) considered that they more probably formed part of the hilt of the dagger (1) but the objects continued to be described as bow tips until (m) published them as parts of a pommel].
