Carrington. On a layer of charcoal (6) in the centre of the barrow, on the natural surface, a cremation was found accompanied by some fragments of very thin bronze (1) a flint arrowhead (3) and a bone pin (4). Higher up there was a small oval cavity 8\" long by 4\" wide, lined with charcoal, suggesting the idea of a wooden or basketwork vessel which had decayed. Slightly below the turfline in the centre of the barrow were found some very minute and indeterminate pieces of bronze (2) and a few flint flakes (5).
