Subsequent exploration by Mr R.B.K. Stevenson showed that a low cairn had been built to cover the urn. Further, limited examination of the area by Mr Stevenson and Prof. & Mrs Piggott, revealed two further cairns. In the second cairn three simple cremations were found among the stones of the cairn, also the upper part of an urn (3) inverted over a cremation. The primary cremation was found under the centre of the cairn in a small pit with an urn (4) inverted over a pile of cremated bone and charcoal. Two small droplets of bronze (1) were found with the bones, some of which were stained green.
