The barrow contained ten cremations, nine of them in Pennine Urns, all placed upright and covered with stone slabs, except one which was inverted. Several of the urns were broken into fragments but two were said to be in a very fair state of preservation. In one of the urns were two burned fragments of an ogival dagger (1) ; in two other urns pygmy cups (12-13) were found. The original references (a-b) mention that other fragments of bronze (2) were also found (no specific context given) but were too fragmentary for their original purpose to be ascertained. These bronze fragments are not listed in the later references.
