In middle were bones of cremation with Bronze Dagger (1) in sheath on SE side. The mass of charcoal was oblong in shape and appeared to consist of large pieces about 3' 6\" in length laid down as a protection for the cremation which was itself thinly covered with charcoal. The cremation & Dagger rested on a layer of light coloured unburnt clay about 3-4\" in thickness. Below this was remains of the actual pyre consisting of a mass of charcoal on the natural surface which is clay & gravel. The soil was burnt brown to a depth of 3\" below fire area.
