Tanner. A flat cemetery of Bronze Age date was discovered S. of Building IV. Four rectangular graves, dug into the chalk to an average depth of 3 feet. Five burials were found in the four graves each of which contained a nearby complete but fragmented Beaker (3-6) From stains on bones of the skeleton in Grave I, it was apparent that a bronze object (1) (? dagger) had been buried with the body. This had been removed in antiquity (? RB times). A partially excavated bronze object (2) was robbed during the 1976 excavation of Grave I by treasure hunters with a metal detector.
