Bateman, first by digging down the centre and later by cutting it through to the S. side.\r\nIn the central shaft there were pieces of urns (5) horses' teeth and other animal bones (6). On the southern cutting, about a foot from the surface a decayed inhumation was found with part of a bronze flat axe (1) sherds of a coarse urn (2) a calcined flint (3) and a pair of canine teeth of a fox or dog (4).
