Bateman. A contracted inhumation in a rock cut pit was accompanied by a Beaker (2) placed between the skull and the knees. A pair of bronze ear-rings (1) which had stained green both mastoid bones were found with the inhumation, also a flint flake knife. Elsewhere in the barrow a crouched inhumation, walled round with a single course of large stones, was accompanied by two pointed bone implements (4). Near the hips lay a deposit of cremated human bones and an end-scraper (5).
