Site 3 contained a hearth and an occupation stratum overlying the filling of a steep sided flat bottomed \"boundary\" ditch. In this stratum a bronze vase-headed pin (1) was found with pottery sherds representing at least three vessels (2) (flat-topped bucket shaped storage jars). In the stratum were also found, a small flint scraper (3), animal teeth and split animal bones (4) together with charcoal (5) and burnt earth and flints (6). Three other sites were explored. Site 2 was a circular pit cut \"several\" feet into chalk. Occupation remains as (4) to (6) but pottery more abundant. (7) Inside one of the vessels was a large quantity of carbonised grains, mostl of wheat (triticum vulgare) with some barley & common grass weed. (8). Site one was an artificial hollow 14 ft in diameter sloping down to a depth of 3' 6\", containing a hearth and occupation material as (4-7).
