Aerial photographer had shown five ring ditches and other features within a permitted gravel extraction area. Three of the ring ditches failed to produce burials. The fourth ring ditch had a small central pit containing two urns (2-3), the larger of which (2) contained the cremated remains of a woman, with a bronze awl (1) a bone bead (4) and several freshly knapped flint flakes (5).\r\nThe fifth ring ditch had a complex central burial pit containing the robbed remains of the primary cremation, with pottery sherds (6) and an associated blue glass bead (7).
