We get to create the sort of country we want. We can make very different choices, so instead of spending \u00a3250 million each year on nuclear weapons as we do today we can invest this money instead in creating jobs and providing free education for all.\r\n\r\nBut can we afford to be independent?\r\nSome people will tell you spending in Scotland is much higher than elsewhere in the UK, but what they don't admit is that tax revenues are also higher. Scotland generates 9.6% of UK taxes but receives just 9.3% of UK spending.\r\n\r\nAnd what will it mean for the future?\r\nScotland will be able to use our vast resources, our own tax base and untapped assets like our great international reputation to build a more successful economy. We have all the raw ingredients we need to flourish, including 25% of the EU's offshore tidal and wave energy potential and some of the world's best universities.\r\n\r\n/YesScotland @YesScotland \r\nScotland's future in Scotland's hands \r\nVote on 21st February at GUU & QMU between 10am-6pm \r\n "}}]
