We are best placed to make decisions that affect our future. We've already shown this in health, education and Justice through the Scottish Parliament. \r\n\r\nWhy we are better off independent \r\nIn each and every one of the past 0 years we've generated more tax revenues per person than elsewhere in the UK. Independence means Scotland's vast wealth can be direction to make us a more prosperous and fairer nation. \r\n\r\nWe have strong public finances\r\nLike most countries in the world, over the past 5 years Scotland and the UK have been 'in the red'. But Scotland's balance sheer (all that we spend and all that we earn) has been stronger than the UK's to the tune of \u00a312.6 billion over this period. We have one of the best sets of national accounts in Europe. \r\n\r\nWealthy enough to be fairer \r\nWith independence we can ensure our great resources, economic strengths and ingenuity work better for everyone. Scotland is a rich country and with independence we can become a rich and fair society too. \r\n\r\nWe can afford to pay for pensions and the welfare state\r\nAs an independent country we can choose a better path for Scotland. We can stop wasting money on nuclear weapons. And, we can scrap the bedroom tax. With the full powers of independence we will be able to do more here in Scotland to create new jobs and opportunities. \r\n\r\nThe first government of an independent Scotland \r\nAfter a Yes vote in 2014, the first Scottish election will be in 2016 when you will be able to elect the government you wish - whether SNP, Labour, Green, Liberal Democrat, Tory or Socialist. Many Scottish MPs currently at Westminster will stand for the Scottish parliament so all parties can put forward their strongest teams. \r\n\r\nBuilding on success\r\nWithout a devolved Scottish Parliament we wouldn't have free care for the elderly or been able to remove tuition fees. With the greater powers of independence, we can make more of the right choices for Scotland - like investing more in job creation, childcare or pensions. \r\n\r\nThe right choice for your family's future \r\nWe can make Scotland the country it should be - just look at one area where we are already responsible for our own future - the NHS. The Scottish Parliament has united to keep it in public hands, but in England the NHS is being privatised. As an independent country we could also achieve similar success in areas like welfare. \r\n\r\nYES \r\nPut Scotland back on the map \r\n\r\n#YesDemocracy @YesScotland YesScotland YesScotland.net"}}]
