THIS!\r\nIn Scotland there are approximately:\r\n- 1.5 million owner-occupied homes\r\n- 305,000 privately rented homes\r\n- 277,000 homes rented from housing associations\r\n- 319,000 homes rented from local authorities.\r\n- According to the 2011 census, there are 37,000 second and holiday homes in Scotland, comprising 1% of the total housing stock.\r\n- There are currently 23,000 long term private sector empty homes across Scotland.\r\nIn 2012-13 there were:\r\n9,788 homes built by the private sector\r\n3,244 homes built by housing associations\r\n365 homes built by local authorities.
