The childcare proposals for example put forward by the Scottish Government in the event of a yes vote would revolutionise our society. By allowing more mums the freedom to return to work if they want to we can boost the confidence of women nationwide and help inject extra money into the economy allowing us to invest in providing adequate social provisions for everyone that has chosen to call Scotland home. \r\n\r\nEducation\r\nYes, there are no tuition fees at the moment but a no vote will likely lead to their introduction the next time a unionist party makes the decisions in Edinburgh. Instead let's say yes to independence and work together as the community of Scotland to write a constitution that enshrines the right to education based on ability not the depth of your pockets. Millionaire elites already run the London government, charging for degrees will guarantee this never ends.\r\n\r\nBairns before bombs\r\nIndependence will mean our children can grow up in a country that puts bairns before bombs. Children should live in a land that is free of weapons of mass destruction and in a society where the government doesn't threaten people just because they happen to have a different view. Our children should be part of the European and international family not detached from our friends around the world on an island whose government's narrative is so often negative towards those from other countries.\r\n\r\nReal Democracy\r\nWhen we teach our children about democracy it would be nice if the country they lived in was actually an example of one. Right now we are a nation with the political rights of a region. To vote in general elections, or in a referendum on our future in Europe knowing there is a good chance the majority opinion of your country will count for nothing, makes a mockery of democracy.\r\n\r\nTackling child poverty.\r\nSuccessive Westminster governments, Labour and Conservative, have failed the people of Scotland. They have turned their backs on those who most need their help. That has left the country facing a humanitarian crisis; where foodbanks are increasingly the norm and more and more children are forced into poverty. Child Poverty Action Group recently revealed that Westminster austerity measures will leave 100,000 more children in poverty by 2020. Scotland's wealth has to be used to stop this horror from being realised. Only independence will allow us to do that. \r\n"}}]
