Information needed
This project requires your help to capture the iron cataloging data held within the PDF scans.
It is a very
straightforward tabulation exercise. Montpelier would like your help to transcribe the following
fields:
- Site #
- Page #
- Initials
- Date
- DE code
- Inv #
- Catalog Letter
- Ncatnum
- Material
- Condition
- Artifact Type
- Length (Inches)
- Width (Inches)
- Number
- Grams
- Notes
- Problem?
Guidelines
Please use the following guidelines when filling out the catalogue sheets:
- On the catalogue forms, entries may be marked to repeat on multiple rows with a vertical line or arrow.
Please enter the number in each row.
- You should enter an "Inv #" for every row. If there is no number listed, or no line as described
above, enter the most recent "Inv #".
- A dash (--) in a column means no data was entered. Leave this column blank.
- Use ALL CAPS FOR YOUR DATA ENTRY.
- Please enter just the numbers in the length, width, and grams columns (omit "in" or "g")
Mistakes
In some cases, there may be a mistake you notice on the catalogue sheet or something you have
difficulty reading. Please notate the problem in the "Problem?" column so we can address it in the post processing!
If you are having additional problems, please use the MicroPasts forums.
